VirginAmericadogBoo, the most lovable 5-year-old, furry-faced Pomeranian on the Internet (close to 5 million followers on Facebook), has been named the Official Pet Liaison and mascot of Virgin America Airlines.

Photos of the pooch aboard one of the carrier's aircraft at San Francisco Airport popped up on Virgin's Facebook's page on July 11, touting Boo as its newest executive.

The pet-friendly airline, wants its "guests," those on two legs and those on four, to have "as comfortable and enjoyable an experience as possible when flying with Virgin," according to a spokesperson.

Virgin travelers can expect pet-friendly advice from Boo in months to come, and perhaps even his furry face painted one one of the planes.

Travelers also can check out the carrier's new line of uniforms that debuts Aug. 8, Virgin's fifth anniversary.

The uniforms still have a simple color palette of black and white, but the Banana Republic designers added grays, interesting fabrics and accents of Virgin's signature red.

The new fashion line, which will be worn by more than 2,000 flight attendants, pilots and other line staff, has nine styles for men and 13 new pieces for women.
