The Marina at Emerald Bay in Great Exuma, Bahamas, has reopened under new ownership.

The 150-slip marina is part of the Sandals Emerald Bay, Great Exuma resort complex, which will open on Jan. 22 following a $15 million upgrade.

Sandals purchased the former Four Seasons Great Exuma in August, along with the 18-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course and marina.

Jamaica-based Island Routes Luxury Adventure Tours has been tapped to manage both the marina and the golf course.

The marina can accommodate yachts of up to 240 feet in length and offers berth facilities, maintenance crews and serves as a customs and immigration point of entry for the Bahamas.

The renovated clubhouse offers Wahoo’s restaurant and bar, a wraparound terrace for sunset views and facilities for families with kids. A new pool will be added next year.

Additional amenities include golf cart and bike rentals, parking, cable TV, WiFi, free showers and laundry, DVD rentals, a billiards room and a TV room.

A day pass for Sandals Emerald Bay is $180 per person; a night pass is $150. Passes include dining, unlimited drinks, water and land sports, taxes and tips.

Marina guests on a day pass also have access to the resort’s Red Lane Spa.

The golf course will reopen in December. Greens fees are $175 per round and include a cart, sleeve of balls and yardage book.
