AMResorts launches Now Resorts & Spas brand

AMResorts unveiled Now Resorts & Spas, an all-inclusive brand of luxury properties, with the opening of the Now Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa on Monday.

The resort is the latest addition to AMResorts' upscale brands in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, which include Zoetry Wellness & Spa Resorts, the Zoetry Collection, Secrets Resorts & Spas and Dreams Resorts & Spas. Two Secrets resorts also are expected to open this spring in Jamaica.

Now Resorts & Spas will feature oversized guestrooms and suites with ocean views and terraces; WiFi access; a mini bar stocked daily; 24-hour room and concierge services; several restaurants and bars; and a spa and fitness center.

The 550-suite Cancun resort, located 12 miles south of Cancun Airport in the fishing town of Puerto Morelos, offers seven a la carte restaurants, five bars, the Explorers Club for kids ages 3 to 12 years old, a spa, three pools, a theater, a business center, water sports and retail shops. The property is a rebranding of the NH Riviera Cancun.

The Dreams Riviera Cancun is a separate property from the Now Riviera Cancun (though they are both in the same city). The Now Riviera Cancun was formerly the NH Riviera Cancun. The Now/Riviera Cancun/NH Riviera Cancun is still a fairly new property...opened fall 2008. I was there last spring and it is beautiful!

Is this next door or close to the Dreams Riviera Cancun? Or is the Now Riviera Cancun what they were calling the Dreams Riviera Cancun until the "rolled out" the new brand concept. I have families booked at the Dreams Riviera Cancun for Spring Break so that would be great to know!

It is a renameing and rebranding of the NH Puerto Morelos Hotel which was taken over by AM Resorts

January 27, 2010Is this a brand new resort/property that AMresorts developed? Or is it a renameing of an existing resort not previously managed by AMresorts?
