Comment FAQs

TravelWeekly.com welcomes and encourages reader comments, which can be made about articles of all types, Travel Jonze blog posts and photographs and videos in the multimedia gallery. For more information about TravelWeekly.com’s policies and procedures with regards to comments, please read our guidelines below. To read TravelWeekly.com's terms and conditions, click here.

  1. Comments are moderated. Readers are encouraged to contribute helpful information, commentary and opinions. Most on-topic comments will be posted, but moderation will screen out inappropriate comments.

  2. Please email the editors at TWfeedback@travelweekly.com if you see a comment that you believe contains offensive language, personal attacks and insults, off-topic rantings and other behavior that is not in keeping with intelligent and informed discourse. We will attempt to review the concern as soon as possible. However, we do not remove every comment that has been reported, nor can we respond individually to every report.

  3. Comments are not edited for content, grammar or spelling.

  4. Please respect other commenters and refrain from personal attacks, offensive or obscene language. Any comment deemed to be racist, homophobic or sexist will not be approved.

  5. Comments may not be published immediately. Because we currently moderate our comments, most comments are subject to a short delay before they are approved. The lag time may be up to a few hours. Moderation does not take place on weekends or holidays, so comments posted on weekends will be screened the next business day.

  6. Do not post repetitive comments. Your comment may be in a holding queue waiting to be approved. Posting a repeat comment creates more work for TravelWeekly.com moderators and editors; so we ask your patience as we approve comments. We cannot respond individually to inquiries about if, or when, a comment will be approved.

  7. TravelWeekly.com reserves the right to edit or remove any and all comments from the site, at any time, for any reason, including comments that are off-topic; contain personal attacks, offensive or obscene language; contain advertising or commercial content; or are considered to be spam.

  8. We discourage commenters from posting personal information such as addresses, email addresses or telephone numbers, and we reserve the right to remove comments with personal information about other people.

  9. Please review your comment before submitting it. TravelWeekly.com will not remove or edit a comment that you regret posting.

  10. TravelWeekly.com may modify and print your comment or a portion of your comment in the Travel Weekly newspaper, on other parts of the TravelWeekly.com site or in other materials. Travel Weekly reserves the right to edit your comment for length and to conform to our style and standards.
