CityCenter resorts offering agent rates

October 27, 2009

The Aria resort-casino and the Vdara hotel and spa at the CityCenter complex are extending special invitations to the travel agent community.

Aria is extending a rate to travel agents of $99 Sundays through Thursdays and $139 Fridays and Saturdays for reservations Dec. 17 through April 1. Reservations can be booked by calling (866) 359-7757. Rates are subject to availability, and proof of employment is required upon check-in. Blackout dates will apply.

Opening Dec. 16, Aria resort-casino is the largest hotel in the world to receive the U.S. Green Building Council's Gold certification for its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program.

Designed by Pelli Clark Pelli, Aria's architectural expression will reveal itself at every turn, from its two curvilinear steel and glass towers to the use of natural elements including foliage, wood and stone.

Guestroom corridors will open to areas of enclosed glass, delivering city or mountain views. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in Aria's 4,004 guestrooms offer views of the city skyline.

Aria restaurateurs include Masayoshi Takayama, chef of New York's Masa; and Shawn McClain, executive chef and partner at Spring, Green Zebra and Custom House in Chicago. They will join Sirio Maccioni, Michael Mina, Julian Serrano Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Jean-Philippe Mary and the Light Group. Guests also will enjoy Aria's collection of lounges, bars and nightclubs.

The team at Cirque du Soleil has partnered with CKX Inc. and its subsidiary Elvis Presley Enterprises to create a permanent production celebrating the musical legacy of Elvis Presley in Aria's 1,800-seat theater.

The resort will have an 80,000-square-foot spa complex featuring two levels of luxury including meditation and relaxation rooms, men's and women's spas with eucalyptus steam rooms and redwood saunas, a full-service salon, barbershop, deluxe fitness room and group exercise studio. Aria will also feature a 215,000-square-foot pool deck.

In addition, Vdara is offering agents rates of $79 Sundays through Thursdays and $119 Fridays and Saturdays for reservations Dec. 1 through April 1, inclusive. Reservations can be booked by calling (866) 745-7767. Rates are subject to availability, and proof of employment is required upon check-in. Blackout dates will apply.

Vdara is an all-suite hotel and spa featuring a nongaming, smoke-free environment. It has 1,495 suites including 250 corner-view units, ranging from approximately 500 to 1,900 square feet. Characterized by open floor plans and horizontal windows, the rooms will offer views of the city and mountains. Each will feature a gourmet kitchen.

Guests will enjoy a fitness center, a pool and lounge, globally inspired cuisine by chef Martin Heierling, premium conference and meetings facilities and more. Vdara also has achieved LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Vdara Health & Beauty, an 18,000-square-foot, two-level spa, salon and fitness facility, will soothe and rejuvenate its guests. The spa will comprise 11 treatment rooms and three distinct relaxation lounges. It will offer a selection of signature treatments focusing on holistic health that use quality ingredients derived from herbs, flowers, fruits, vegetables and essential oils.
