Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa, adjacent to the beachfront town of Puerto Morelos about halfway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, celebrated its grand opening Oct. 1.

The resort is surrounded by cenotes, the cave-like swimming holes that dot the Yucatan Peninsula; tropical gardens; and a palm-studded beach. The 486 rooms and suites are octagonal-shaped and have ocean views.

Amenities include 24-hour room service, minibars, several dining options and bars serving premium brands.

Opening rates for a Premium Deluxe room start at $105 per person, per night based on double occupancy. Dreams is offering a Kids Stay, Play and Eat Free deal through Dec. 25, with blackout dates Nov. 25 to 29.
