    MTravel, the host agency division of Montrose Travel, conducted its sixth annual Educational Conference in Vail, Colo., in October. Along with consortia partner Ensemble Travel, nearly 30 cruise, tour operator, tourism board and travel insurance supplier partners participated in the event.     Travel agent Rhonda Bartnikowski of AAA Tidewater (Va.) was presented with all four of AAA’s Superlative Awards at the agency’s annual conference on Oct. 20 in Orlando. Bartnikowski took honors in the following categories: Highest Overall Sales Volume, Highest Revenue Produced, Highest Preferred Partner Cruise Sales and Highest Preferred Partner Tour Sales.

    Signature Travel Network honored member agent Carol Lekki, center, president of Carol’s Travel Service in Tinley Park, Ill., as the first recipient of the Michelle Morgan Leadership Award at its Sales Meeting & Trade Show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The award is named for the former Signature president who died in 2013 and recognizes industry professionals who embody the qualities that made Morgan a success both professionally and personally. Lekki accepts her award from Signature execs Alisa Morgan, Morgan’s daughter, and Alex Sharpe.

    Signature Travel Network held its annual Sales Meeting & Trade Show at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas in early November. The event drew more than 2,100 attendees, including more than 1,200 Signature travel consultants, representing 91% of Signature’s member agencies. Preferred supplier partners from 57 countries worldwide also attended.

    An event was held in New York recently to help promote the Cayman Cookout culinary festival at the Ritz-Carlton on Grand Cayman.
