GBTA names interim president

The Global Business Travel Association named vice president Kevin Maguire to the position of interim president and CEO, effective immediately, replacing the resigning Jim McMullan.

Maguire will serve in the role until GBTA holds elections at its annual convention in August.

The GBTA board also elected Dominion travel and corporate services director Donna Kelliher to serve in the role of vice president during the interim period.

Maguire, director of travel for intercollegiate athletics at the University of Texas at Austin, served as president of GBTA from 2007 to 2009.

GBTA executive director Michael McCormick in a letter to members cited "personal obligations" for McMullan's decision.
