InteleTravel’s “Home Agency” Approach
While the standard industry terminology for the concept may be 'host agency', InteleTravel emphasizes its uniqueness by calling itself a 'home agency'. Tara Minson, president of InteleTravel, explains the creative moniker signals a deeper commitment to travel advisors.
“InteleTravel does not simply ‘host’ advisors,” she said. “We don't just give you a place to work; we give you a place to belong. We are home.”
Minson positions the distinction as an ideal blend of technology with human connections and ongoing support. “Many new-age host agencies focus on automation first,” she added. “We focus on people first. That’s the difference between a platform and a home.”
The “people-first” approach is visible in InteleTravel’s training culture, which is designed to assist advisors who are new to the industry as well as those with years of experience.
“InteleTravel is a home because we have been training ‘new-to-the-travel-industry’ advisors for almost four decades,” Minson said.
“We know what advisors need, when they need it and before they realize they need it.”
InteleTravel offers tools and mentorship that serve advisors over the entire arc of their career.
“Like a home, we nurture our advisors,” Tara explains. “We train them, build innovative tools and technology to make their jobs more efficient. We provide mentorship and support throughout their entire travel business journey.”
InteleTravel offers training and mentorship programs like the InteleTravel Online Academy and more than 40 live in-person travel training events every year. On the technology side, InteleTravel provides proprietary tools including our own booking engine, mobile app, AI-driven travel assistant and itinerary builder, and content support.
Member advisors also find multiple revenue opportunities within the company’s travel brands, which include businesstravel.com, Tickitto and Major Travel, to name a few.
“We believe a true home agency is where we continuously harness the power of technology to better serve our advisors, without becoming technology,” Minson said. “We never replace human connection with a faceless modern host agency that advisors only see in their inbox and social media.
Technology will keep changing, and we’ll keep evolving with it — but one thing will never change: Our advisors will always have a place to call home.”
