Five couples will win destination weddings in the Bahamas under the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism’s Bahamas Bridal Bailout contest created for those whose wedding plans have been affected by the economy.
Brides- and grooms-to-be have from March 20 to April 24 to upload their entries (either a short video or an essay with photo) on www.bahamas.com/bridalbailout. The entry must explain why they should be among the winners. Details are available on the site.
From April 25 through May 17, consumers will be able to view the entries and vote for their favorites. Afterwards, a panel of judges will review the top 20 vote getters and choose the winning five.
Included in the “bailout” package are airfare for 10, five rooms, a wedding cake, flowers and the services of a photographer.
The resort choices are: Old Bahama Bay by Ginn Sur Mer, Pelican Bay at Lucaya, the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, SuperClub Breezes and the Wyndham Nassau Resort & Crystal Palace Casino.
