The Federal Aviation Administration expressed concern that many airports will not be Y2K-compliant in time for the new millennium. Flash forward to Jan. 1, 2000: "May I have your attention, please. Flight 123 to Los Angeles, scheduled to depart at 12:30 a.m., apparently left already -- in the year 1900. We apologize for the inconvenience."

AAA announced that it doesn't expect to reach its previously stated goal of $5 billion in sales in 2000. The reason: the agency's deliberately trying to reduce the percentage of its total sales that are air tickets. No pain no gain, AAA.

Galileo's new Viewpoint system introduces a more user-friendly interface, enabling agents of all skill levels to more easily access the CRS. This is heresy, Galileo! How will agents cope with not having to key in miles of arcane code every day?
