ARC said that this year it expects to have processed $120 million
in service fees charged to clients' credit cards. That figure
doesn't include fees paid in cash. Fee foes, take heed: If you
serve them, they will pay.
American Skiing Co. struck a deal with Marriott Vacation Club
International to develop time-share properties at five major U.S.
ski resorts. With the substantial numbers of skiers such properties
could attract to the slopes, wouldn't it be nice if both firms also
agreed to provide entertainment for those in line at the lifts? And
I mean really, really compelling entertainment.
The on-line agency Preview Travel now offers clients video
clips, weather info, maps, currency conversion and detailed
