Four Seasons Resort Whistler launched a Family Adventure Package in partnership with Whistler Geocaching Adventures that features scavenger hunts using a GPS unit.
Children and their parents search through scenic areas for buried caches, or waterproof containers, that hold logbooks and age-appropriate toys. The GPS doubles as a tracker and radio in the event that families become lost or need assistance.
"Geocaching is rapidly growing in popularity," said Nic Nero, founder and CEO of Whistler Geocaching Adventures. "Today, there are over a million public geocaches available, placed in over 100 countries and all seven continents including Antarctica."
The package, which begins at about $375 per night, includes accommodations, a 10% discount on dining, welcome amenities and free tickets for adults and kids under age 10 to the Whistler Geocaching Adventures. For details, click here.
