The Clinton Administration, in its spare time, proposed hiking the
number of direct flights between the U.S. and Cuba, in order to
help families that have members in both countries and to make
drooling Americans feel like they might be getting one step closer
to freely obtaining those delicious, forbidden cigars, dammit. I'm
paraphrasing liberally, of course.
A Delaware air force base recently put its account out for bid
but restricted bidding to disadvantaged agencies. That seems like
very broad criteria, doesn't it? Every agency in a 100-mile radius
will be lining up at its door. How about seeking proposals only
from agencies that are disadvantaged, beleaguered and ticked off?
Well, I guess that doesn't really narrow it down much, either.
