With the holidays just around the corner, luxury-travel companies are putting together packages to wow that special hard-to-shop-for someone.

Four Seasons Resort Nevis and Magellan Jets, for example, are partnering to offer a luxury getaway to Nevis that includes up to 10 hours roundtrip air aboard a private jet that seats up to 12 people and five nights in the resort’s new seven-bedroom Hill Estate.

With pricing starting at $140,000, the getaway includes all the amenities one would expect: golf, spa treatments and gourmet in-flight catering.

It also comes with the sponsored adoption of two sea turtles, Coco and Sugar, who were tagged and released from the resort in July as part of the resort’s partnership with the Sea Turtle Conservancy.

For something a little more adventurous: Vaya Adventures says it still has openings around the holidays for Galapagos Islands cruises aboard a refurbished, schooner-style yacht  that accommodates a maximum of 14 passengers. Rates start just under $4,000 per person.

“While a lot of attention has been paid to the new catamarans in the Galapagos, for some travelers nothing beats the feeling of being on a classically designed schooner,” said Vaya founder and president Jim Lutz. “With teak decks and meticulously designed interiors, the Beagle is a great option for those looking for a unique, charming vessel with a smaller group size.”

For a more traditional family Christmas, the K Club Hotel Country Club & Spa is offering packages in the Irish countryside on an estate along a private stretch of the River Liffey in Kildare.

Packages in the resort owner’s private, 34,000-square-foot country home, Straffan House, start at $20,000 a night for five-night packages beginning Dec. 23 and include a private gourmet Christmas dinner and a personal car and driver for shopping in Dublin or nearby Kildare Village designer shopping outlets — not to mention a visit from Santa Claus on Christmas morning with gifts for all.

With 10 rooms and seating for 16 in the dining room, the hotel said Straffan House is ideal for multi-generational families. Additional amenities include a private wine cellar, movie theater and indoor pool with swim-up bar. Two- and three-night packages are available at the main hotel, starting at $990 a night.
