Irish tourism officials have contracted with a company to provide a
reservations system for tour products, and trade groups are rattled
by the plan, saying it would bypass U.S. operators and retailers.
Ireland seems to be taking a cue from California here, no? Next
thing you know, those who sell travel to Irish consumers will be
required to register and pay into a restitution fund.
Southwest will debut in the New York market in March, with
service at MacArthur Airport in Islip on Long Island. The carrier
