A Chicago attorney was quoted in Travel Weekly as saying the model
for relationships between agents and suppliers "will soon be dead."
There's little doubt that it's severely if not mortally wounded
now, but with agent-client relationships' being alive and well -- a
fact that should be recognized and valued by suppliers -- could
there be hope for its resuscitation?
Cincinnati-North Kentucky Airport plans to introduce smoking
lounges with separate ventilation systems. As smokers inch closer
and closer to full-blown pariah status, these airport smoking
lounges are a terrific innovation. More than giving these poor
social outcasts a tiny, toxin-hazed death chamber to call their
own, these lounges sometimes are glass-enclosed -- like at Atlanta
Hartsfield, I believe -- enabling nonsmokers to gawk and point as
if they're at the monkey house.
