Student-travel specialist STA commissioned a study to find out what
college students look for when booking travel. The study found that
92% of respondents had used the Internet to price products, that
75% said location was a key factor when deciding whether to use a
travel agency and that 96% wanted to know if the bars in Cancun
check IDs.
A California-based consortium called Leisure Travel Group has
created a task force of board members whose job will be to review
offers to buy the group. I'd like to have that problem, where I'm
so sought after that I have to delegate "people" -- as in "my
people will talk to your people" -- to field propositions from
suitors. "Let's see... too tall, creepy friends, bad skin, swears
too much..." This LTG must be like the most popular girl in
school.
