Luxury hotel update: Hollywood in the South Pacific


The St. Regis Bora Bora is going Hollywood. The property was the setting for the movie "Couples Retreat," and now it's featuring a package with the same name. It's for clients looking to "rekindle their romance" or for those who just need some R&R.

Package rates start at $1,042 per night for an overwater villa.

Included are treats upon arrival; daily breakfasts; a couples massage; one dinner, and two turndown gifts. There's a minimum four-night stay and the plan is valid through March 2011.

The resort features personal butler service, Jeep safaris, diving, sailing and sunset cruises. It has three restaurants. Visit for details.

• LaSource, the all-inclusive resort and spa in Granada, appointed Elite Island Resorts as its global sales and marketing representative company.

The 100-room property on secluded Pink Gin Beach also has a nine-hole golf course and four restaurants. Its Oasis Spa has 17 treatment rooms. Off-season rates, through Nov. 1, offer 30% off regular rates. The per-person, per-night cost starts at $235, including one daily spa treatment. Details are at  

• Mandarin Oriental Boston and Chatham Bars Inn teamed up to offer the City and Sea package starting Sept. 1. Mandarin Oriental is located in the city's historical Back Bay area, and Chatham Bars Inn is a waterfront resort in Chatham, Mass., on Cape Cod, about 80 miles away.

The package, from $525 per night, provides two nights at each property. It covers accommodations, daily breakfasts, welcome cocktails at both hotels and a spa credit at the Mandarin Oriental's spa, among other incentives. Bookings are online at
