Mango Bay Barbados, a beachfront, all-inclusive, boutique-style property on the Caribbean island's Gold Coast, offers a basic wedding package that couples can dress up with additional, pay-for services.
For $850, the standard package provides the services of a wedding coordinator and a clergyman; administration and marriage license fees; roundtrip transfers to Bridgetown to obtain the marriage license; a decorated wedding arch; a bride's bouquet and groom's boutonniere; a bottle of champagne; a single-tier cake; and one in-room continental breakfast.
Couples can add to the plan 24 photographs with an album ($350); unlimited digital photographs ($250); one hour of live steel band music ($250); additional champagne ($100 per bottle); a video ($500); and extra bouquets ($50). Hairdressing services start at $25.
Island wedding requirements include valid passports and a Barbados-issued marriage license. There is no waiting period.
A stay at Mango Bay features hotel accommodations; all meals; afternoon tea; all local and brand-name drinks, including wine with dinner; water sports; nightly entertainment; and off-property sightseeing excursions such as a glass-bottom boat trip, a catamaran sail and shopping in Bridgetown.
Off-season prices through Dec. 14 start at $385 per room, per night, double, and range to $525 for an oceanfront room. The Penthouse Suite costs $1,500 per night.
