In this month's congressional elections, most of the legislators
actively involved in travel-related issues were reelected. This
means, of course, that the industry can rest easy, knowing that the
same guys will continue having no luck trying to push through
legislation that might actually help travel agents.
Airlines, you can have this one for free: If individual
seat-back screens with video-game options become ubiquitous, don't
give us Tetris and solitaire. Give us photorealistic flight
simulators, so we can play pilot along with the pilot. Better yet,
give us the real-time view through the cockpit windshield. Take it,
run with it, no need to thank me.
