Montana property's 'Mountain Romance' deal aims to rustle up would-be wranglers

*logoRumor has it that some luxury clients don't need to be pampered around the clock, preferring to incorporate a touch of outdoor adventure into their vacations. In Big Sky country, the Mountain Romance package being offered at Triple Creek Ranch in Darby, Mont., just might fit the bill.

Set in the Bitterroot Mountains, the five-night couples package offers lodging in a luxury cabin with a wood-burning fireplace, fully stocked bar, double steam shower and private deck with a hot tub. It's priced at $4,060, and additional nights are available at the discount rate of $760 nightly.

The adventure comes in when clients sign up for a cattle drive; several are scheduled throughout the summer months.

A spokeswoman for Triple Creek, a Relais & Chateaux property, said the ideal Mountain Romance client "is someone who is interested in horses, has some experience in riding and has always had a fantasy of being Billy Crystal in 'City Slickers.' "

The perfect customer to pitch this trip to "might have spent time at a dude ranch as a kid and liked it, and now would like to do something similar in a more luxurious setting with great food and wine," she added.

The package has more than its fair share of luxury components. For example, guests will enjoy champagne and chocolates on arrival, a couples massage before a dip in the hot tub and multicourse, gourmet dinners each night. Breakfasts and lunches can be taken in the ranch dining room, out on the deck or packed into a picnic basket.

Other sports activities also are offered, such as horseback riding and tennis, and there's a full fitness center. Trail rides and fly-fishing excursions can be customized.

The package is offered through October, and more details are on the property's website at Agents also can call for more information: (800) 654-2943.
