Reef Repairs 'r' Us

A group called ReefKeepers International estimated that Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas caused $8.5 million of damage to the reef off St. Maarten that it struck last month. I'm picturing a wise-cracking reef repair guy in a kelp-strewn pair of overalls lumbering out of the surf: "Oh yeah, that reef's in pretty bad shape. The rear quarter panel's bashed in, the exhaust system's leaking, the head gasket's blown. It's gonna cost $8 mil, easy. It could use a new fuel pump, too, so that'll bring ya up to about eight-and-a-half..."

Swissair recently echoed moves by major U.S. and some international carriers by capping international commissions at $100 roundblah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
