The charming, affable host of "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,"
Robin Leach, has been named by seven states in a lawsuit that
charges him and two Florida-based travel companies he promotes with
engaging in misleading practices. Who could have imagined that a
cherubic, fun-loving character who smiles his way through so many
feel-good infomercials would be, in fact, a symbol of all that
agents fear and loathe?
Alaska Airlines is reducing commissions on Internet bookings to
5% with a $10 cap. Of course, if the carrier keeps accidentally
publishing zero fares in the CRSs like it did earlier this year, it
won't matter much what the base pay rate is, will it?
