South Pacific luxury ship sets 2010 discounts

Paul Gauguin Cruises, the luxury line operating the 332-passenger Paul Gauguin in the South Pacific, unveiled 38 itineraries for 2010, along with discount offers that can cut the price of a cruise by 50%.

Ranging from seven to 15 nights, the cruises explore Tahiti and the Society Islands, Tuamotus, the Cook Islands, Marquesas, Tonga, Fiji and New Zealand.

A 14-night cruise calling at ports in New Zealand, Tonga, the Cook Islands and the Society Islands starts at $6,195 per person. But the company is offering a hefty discount in the form of an early booking incentive that knocks 45% off the cruise fare on trips booked by July 31.

Any past guest of Paul Gauguin Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Silversea, Yachts of Seabourn, Crystal Cruises, SeaDream Yacht Club or Windstar Cruises qualifies for another 5% off any Paul Gauguin cruise fare.

Additionally, roundtrip Los Angeles-Tahiti airfare savings up to $2,500 per couple are available for clients who meet the July deadline.

"The Paul Gauguin is renowned for her carefully crafted itineraries, and we are thrilled to provide both classic and new voyages in 2010 that will emphasize the magical ambience of these captivating islands," said David Giersdorf, president and CEO.
