Stalemate, mate

The U.S. ended aviation talks with the U.K. after reaching a stalemate on core open-skies issues. I've been saying for a while that open skies should not occur until the U.K. agrees to a ban of all English cuisine on transatlantic flights, but, surprisingly, this had nothing to do with the actual conflict.

American Airlines said it will produce Spanish and Portuguese editions of its in-flight magazine. The carrier apparently thinks that its position in the Latin market will improve when non-English-speaking passengers discover how lame U.S. in-flight magazines are.
