Travel Weekly's Caribbean E-letter: Nov. 18, 2004

SEABORNE AIRLINES and V.I. Fast Ferry again will offer the Super Sea & Sky excursion program this winter between St. Croix and St. Thomas. The program, which begins Dec. 16 when the 600-passenger, high-speed Salacia ferry returns to winter service, will run through mid-May. According to Omer ErSelcuk, Seaborne's chief marketing officer, the fares will be at the same levels as last winter, "although there will probably be a small fuel surcharge due to high worldwide oil prices." The roundtrip fares will be $80 or $90 per person, depending on the time of day of the seaplane portion," he said. The package is designed to stimulate intra-island travel and enhance the U.S. Virgin Islands as a single destination. The combined total of daily seats offered by both companies will be close to 4,000. For details, call (800) FLY-TOUR or visit www.seaborneairlines.com.
