AMERICAN AIRLINES will add routes on May 1 to Milan, Italy, and Barcelona, Spain, from New York's Kennedy Airport. In addition, the carrier will launch a second daily flight to London's Stansted Airport April 7. All three new routes will be aboard two-class Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 221 seats, including 30 Next Generation Business Class seats. American will continue to serve both London Heathrow and London Gatwick from several U.S. gateways, including six daily roundtrips between Kennedy and Heathrow.

GOLDEN TULIP HOSPITALITY signed franchise agreements for three hotels in the Netherlands this month. The 64-room Tulip Inn Sevenum in North Limburg, about 42 miles from Maastricht, offers suites, executive rooms and meetings facilities for 240 people. The 64-room, newly renovated Tulip Inn Bodegraven, midway between Utrecht and The Hague, features a modern decor designed for leisure and business travelers. The 76-room Golden Tulip Papendrecht in rural central Holland is the only four-star property in the region and features 11 conference rooms and a bistro restaurant.

SELECT ITALY unveiled a Wine Train Adventure package on a specially designed, air-conditioned train that travels through southern Tuscany's Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO heritage site. Passengers visit medieval sites, enjoy an authentic Tuscan meal and sample award-winning Brunello wines. THE HOTEL CARLSBAD PLAZA, a 140-room property in Karlovy Vary, a region of the Czech Republic known for its thermal springs, is offering a Bohemian Autumn package, priced at about $460 per night, single or double, through Dec. 22. The package includes daily buffet breakfast, one candlelight dinner, one 30-minute Thai facial or foot massage per person and service charges. THE INTERCONTINENTAL LONDON PARK LANE created a menu of quick Man Spa treatments at the Spa InterContinental in association with Elemis. The treatments, some as short as 15 minutes long, were designed for male business travelers with limited time between meetings.
