THE GROWTH OF THE CRUISE INDUSTRY in the Baltic Sea Region has outpaced the growth of the total cruise industry during the past six years, according to a 2008 Cruise Baltic market review. Specifically, the number of cruise passengers to Baltic cities has increased by an average of 12% per year since 2000, with the most popular ports of call being St. Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; Stockholm, Sweden; and Helsinki, Finland.
