STARWOOD
HOTELS & RESORTS, in partnership with Statuto Group,
will open its first Italian property in Milan, Italy. Set to open
December 2008, the W Milan will be located in the Brera district
near some of the city's best-known restaurants, art galleries,
retail shops and cafes. The 76-room hotel will occupy a converted
mid-20th century building and will feature eight W suites, one
Extreme Wow Suite, a restaurant, a destination rooftop bar, the W
Living Room and a spa and fitness center.
NORTH
AMERICAN TRAVEL AGENTS can earn 9% commissions on BritRail
Passes, attractions and other BritRail products totaling at least

ROCCO FORTE
HOTELS will open the Charles Hotel this summer in Munich,
its first in that city and the third in Germany. The hotel will be
located in Lenbach Garten within walking distance of the
Hauptbahnhof train station, shopping areas and entertainment
facilities. The eight-story, $93 million property will feature 132
rooms, nine junior suites, 18 master suites and a presidential
suite. Other features will include an Italian restaurant, a bar,
seven conference rooms, a ballroom accommodating up to 400 guests
and a spa.
CROSS
COUNTRY INTERNATIONAL created a series of tours based
around films set in Ireland. A West Coast Walk, for example,
showcases the settings of "The Field," "Far and Away," "Barry
Lyndon" and "Waking Ned Devine." Highlights include the seaside
town of Westport, Clew Bay, Croagh Patrick and the coastal islands
of Achill and Clare. The seven-night tour, which is available
between May 12 and Sept. 22, is priced at $1,840 per person,
double, including accommodations, five days of guided walking,
breakfasts, six dinners, five packed lunches, transfers and taxes.

travel in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The site can be

products including the ScanRail Pass, Eurail's individual country

Other highlights include destination and travel information on such
top attractions as Hamlet's Ellsinore Castle and Tivoli Gardens.
