MONTAGE
HOTELS & RESORTS has acquired 122 acres at the
Princeville Resort on Kauai. The company has no immediate plans for
development, although a five-star Montage property is anticipated
for the panoramic site overlooking Hanalei's bay and mountains. The
acreage includes several historic remains that are likely to be
restored. Montage Hotels & Resorts is a luxury hotelier and
resort management company with properties in Laguna Beach and
Beverly Hills, Calif. Properties in Park City, Utah; Cabo San
Lucas, Mexico; and the Bahamas are all scheduled to open by 2010.
TROPICAL
VILLA VACATIONS is partnering with travel agents, offering
Web-based support in selling to the luxury market and paying
commissions of 10% to 15%. The company serves as property manager

HAWAII has added backroads tours on Oahu and Maui. The
Upcountry Maui tour includes stops at a lavender farm. The Back
Roads of Maui tour includes a visit to the Surfing Goat Dairy,
where cheese is the specialty, followed by a visit to the Tedeschi
Vineyards and the Ulupalekua Ranch. The Haleakala Sunrise tour
features a breakfast stop at the dairy. Back Roads on Oahu visits

Hotel Renew. The Waikiki property is the first hotel in Aqua's new
