THE HAWAIIAN
FESTIVAL at the Polynesian Cultural Center will kick off
on Jan. 27 at 7:45 p.m. in the Hale Aloha Theater with Na Kama and
the Makaha Sons, who will put on an evening concert and revue. The
weekend-long festival culminates with the Moanikeala Hula Festival,
starting at 10 a.m. in the Pacific Theater. Concert tickets are
$8.
THE KAPALUA VILLAS introduced 2006 vacation
packages, on the heels of completing the first phase of the Gold
Villa upgrade program. A Golfers Holiday package includes seven
nights with car rental and five rounds of golf per person with cart
and club storage, starting at $3,038. All villas (standard and
gold) offer high-speed Internet, daily maid service and free long
distance and international phone calls.
CASTLE RESORTS & HOTELS launched its 5 for 50
incentive program for travel agents that pays a $50 bonus for every
five nights booked at a participating Castle property. The
incentive is valid on new bookings through wholesalers as well as
with Castle directly at applicable properties located on every
Hawaiian island.
OUTRIGGER RESORTS President and CEO David Carey
said the Waikiki Beach Walk is on schedule and is set for
completion in 12 months. The project includes the demolition of
three hotels as well as several smaller surrounding buildings, the
construction of an Embassy Suites Hotel and the conversion of two
former Ohana Hotel towers to a Fairfield Hawaii timeshare
property.
THE VERA WANG BOUTIQUE opened this week in the
Halekulani hotel. Wangs Pacific outpost showcases her home
furnishings line in the store located just off the courtyard in the
center of the hotel. The Vera Wang Suite opened in the Halekulani
one year ago.
