AIRLINES will add a second daily
nonstop flight between Las Vegas and Honolulu. The five-days-a-week
service will begin on Apr. 4 and move to every day on May
1.
COURTYARD BY
MARRIOTT KAUAI is nearing the
completion of renovations on the former Kauai Coconut Beach Resort,
to the tune of $24 million. The Presidio Hotel Group, which bought
the hotel in Sept. 2003, will oversee the development of all 311
guestrooms, public spaces, meetings areas, restaurants and
recreation areas at the Waipouli Beach location. Management
anticipates opening with two-thirds of the guest rooms completed by

CALENDAR: An art
gallery/performance space opened in Honolulu's Chinatown -- 39
Hotel Street (address is also the name of the venue), a New York
loft-style space, will show one artist's work for the duration of
each month, starting on the first Friday, when most galleries in
the area open their doors to the public. Every Tuesday night, 39
Hotel Street owner and artist Gelareh Khoie hosts a live jazz
performance, starting at 9 p.m. Entrance to the gallery is free,
