THE HONOLULU
ZOO has broken ground on a
six-phase construction project that is expected to be completed by
August. The zoo is expanding to create a Discovery Zone, an
8,000-square-foot facility that will replace the existing Childrens
Zoo and will be triple its size. The new facility will offer
children the chance to interact with the animals as well as
participate in feedings and exhibits. The second phase includes the
construction of a two-story learning center that will offer
educational classrooms and a 150-seat auditorium for conferences.

12th annual Slack Key Guitar Festival on Nov. 21. A related
