GO AIRLINES, which began interisland service in June, has reintroduced $29 interisland fares. With strong load factors, Go has been pursuing customers with fares that are as little as one-third of typical interisland fares before Go entered the market. Hawaiian and Aloha have generally matched Go's discounts, with all three carriers limiting discounted fares to short booking windows and limited capacity. Disregarding Go's lowest fares, Go's $39 and $49 fares have created a fare war that's likely to continue into 2007.
