LUXURY TRAVEL NETWORK, a host agency operated by Cruise Specialists, enhanced its Web site, rolled out new services for home-based travel sellers (including a 100% commission option) and added Virtuoso perks for clients such as pre-cruise galas, shipboard credits, onboard parties and free shore excursions. Cruise Specialists is a member of Virtuoso. John Bell, manager of the Luxury Travel Network, said agents who are selected to join the program have the option of keeping 100% of their commissions or can choose a sliding commission scale based on gross commissions generated. Retailers pay a $499 sign-up fee to join the network and a $499 annual renewal fee. The renewal fee is waived if travel agents maintain a minimum 80-20 commission split. Guests who book a minimum of six nights in the third room category or higher receive a $150 resort credit, while clients who upgrade to any top-category suite featuring Sandals and Beaches butler service will earn a $250 credit.
