CRUISE
NETWORK, an agency based in Raleigh, N.C., selected Jurni
Networks Internetview as the primary booking tool for its
home-based Independent Travel Advisor Programs. Cruise Networks
outside sales manager, Anita Flippin, said the agency chose Jurni
as its consortium for its agent-friendly booking capabilities along
with its preferred vendor agreements. Jurni is the agency
consortium created by Sabre in 2003.
FLIPPIN
SAID Cruise Network offers programs for agents starting
out in the business as well as for experienced retailers. Flippin
said the Jurni booking tool will be easy for newcomers to learn,
while veterans can take advantage of Jurnis other booking options,
such as Agent 59. More information about Cruise Network is online
at http://www.cruisenetwork.com/home-based.html
IN OTHER JURNI
NEWS, the consortium rolled out Jurni Online, a suite of
Web site products for its affiliates. Jurni Online enables members
to create and maintain individually branded consumer sites with
promotions and content from Jurni preferred suppliers regularly
updated by Jurni Network. In addition, a network spokesman said,
the Jurni agencies can customize their sites with varying designs,
custom logos and other elements. Optional upgrades will enable
members to include air-, car- and hotel-booking capabilities by
incorporating a Sabre booking engine or another booking engine of
their choice. Members also will be able to add unique content and
special promotions of their own, Jurni Network said.
THE
PRODUCT is a private-label version of Passport Onlines
NexCite Web site program. Jurni Online sites, which can be marketed
in e-mail promotions, also include a quick search box and the
capability for establishing a sweepstakes or asking visitors to
register for an agency newsletter (which will help members acquire
names for their databases), Jurni Network said. Members will
license Jurni Online for a monthly fee. A comparable Web site
product line for hosted independent agents will be unveiled in late
summer, Jurni Network added.
