CRUISE
UNIVERSITY, the educational program offered by Cruiseagentonly.com, rolled out dates for its spring
program. Cruiseagentonly is an agent network organization and
cruise marketing and booking site. Onboard programs offer certain
Cruise Lines International Association certifications and often
feature destination experts. The first course begins April 16
aboard the Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas, departing from
Miami and visiting the western Caribbean. Agents can earn their
Level 1 or Level 2 Travel Sales Certification.

" June 11 aboard
the Norwegian Majesty, departing from Boston and visiting Bermuda.
Agents will attend two CLIA courses as well as earning their Level
1or Level 2 Travel Sales Certification. The Bermuda tourist board
will host the attending agents with site inspections, attractions
and some meals.
" Sept. 17 aboard
the Carnival Legend, departing from New York and visiting the
eastern Caribbean. Agents will attend three CLIA courses; learning
from Tania Hancock, who works for the Alaska tourist board; plus
earn their Level 1 or Level 2 Travel Sales
Certification.

9, Cruise University will set sail aboard the Carnival
Triumph, departing from Miami and visiting the eastern Caribbean.
Agents will be entertained as well as educated by motivational
speaker Joachim de Posada. CLIA will be presenting three courses,
and agents can earn their Travel Sales Certification. More

AMERICAN
MARKETING GROUP, the parent company of Travelsavers, the
agency consortium for independent agencies, acquired the
after-hours service business of Thor24 and renamed it Agent24. The
service will work in tandem with, but not be merged with, a similar
AMG operation called Helpline, an emergency travel-assistance
service. Thor24 had been owned by Cendant.
