BIG-GAME
VIEWING in Mabula, near Johannesburg, South Africa, was
among the highlights for about 100 at-home and independent agents
who attended the 2005 Outside Sales Support Network International
Conference Event. From the wine region of Stellenbosch to the Cape
of Good Hope (where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet) to the
city of Durban and lots of places in between, the trip was designed
to broadly educate at-homes and independents about the destination.
In Cape Town, OSSN members attended educational workshops and met
industry suppliers, including Cedarberg Travel, Cape Town Routes
Unlimited, Tourism Kwa Zulu Natal, Shongololo Express Train Routes
and Three Cities Group, among others.
THE 11-DAY trip also featured a visit with
Felicia Suttle, president of South Africa Tourism, who addressed
the group in Cape Town. She described South Africas new brand
awareness campaign, and said the region was looking to building
relationships between suppliers and the networks membership. OSSN
said it would survey its members to help decide the location of
next years conference. Information about the network is on line at
www.ossn.com.
