TRAVEL
PLANNERS International this month rolls out ClientBase
Browser to its independent and outside agents. The tool, which
interacts with the TRAMS accounting system used by the firm, will
enable agents to create invoices and track commissions. It will
store client details, creating client profiles in a database, which
will allow PNRs to be built.
THE HOST AGENCY said the tool would increase
productivity and booking levels by enabling agents to market to
their client list. Details are at www.travelagentfromhome.com or through the director of
agency relations, Kim Sherrett, at (800) 631-3636, Ext. 217.
GLOBUS and VACATION.COM teamed up to offer member
agencies a chance to win a $1,000 MasterCard Gift Card for every
2006 Globus Europe vacation booked by Nov. 30 for travel completed
by Oct. 31. To help sell the escorted and FIT products, Globus is
offering a $300-per-couple savings on 2006 air-inclusive Globus
Europe vacations for clients of Vacation.com member agencies. More
details are available at www.agentnet.com or by calling (800) 843-0733.
THROUGH THE PORT HOLE: The Delta Queen Steamboat
Co. extended its early-booking window to Dec. 31 because its
traditional peak booking period was affected by hurricanes. The
situation at the time made it very difficult for our [repeat]
customers to choose their voyages and book with us for 2006,"
President Bruce Nierenberg said.
