now offers high-speed Internet access in several areas of its
meetings and convention facility as well as the at five-acre

WHILE
LOOKING TO THE FUTURE, the Tropicana also continues to
acknowledge its history. The property's Casino Legends Hall of Fame
will welcome Debbie Reynolds, Ben Vereen, Patti Page, Tempest
Storm, Jack Jones and Sheena Easton as its newest inductees this
fall. Clint Holmes, a headliner at Harrah's Las Vegas, will host
the induction ceremony, which will be held Oct. 31 in the
property's Tiffany Theatre. The hall of fame, which is open daily
from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., recently unveiled exhibits honoring past
inductees Elvis Presley, Liberace and singer Trini Lopez, among
others.
FISH
TALES: The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay launched "Tours
& Tales," a monthly lecture series aimed at adults and children
interested in the ocean and its animals. The program, which
introduces a new topic each month, is offered the first and third
Wednesday of every month; the session topic on the first Wednesday
is repeated on the third Wednesday. The sessions run from 6 p.m. to
8 p.m. and include a guided tour through Shark Reef followed by a
classroom presentation from a Shark Reef staff member. Session topics through the fall include
Sharks, August; Myths and Legends, September; Nature's Best
Costumes, October, and Feeding Frenzy, November. The cost is $24.95
per person and includes a souvenir photo. Reservations are required

AMERICA
WEST will begin nonstop service from Las Vegas to Los
Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1,
respectively. Flights to Los Cabos will be offered Tuesdays,
Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and the Puerto Vallarta service
will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The new
service will be provided by America West Express, which is operated
by subsidiary airlines of Mesa Air Group using Canadair Regional

STARTING
SEPT. 3, Avion Private Jet Club, a members-only private
jet service that offers members access to per-person rates on
chartered jet flights, will make available the opportunity for
members to book weekend flights between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
The flights will depart for Las Vegas at 7 p.m. Friday and return
at 1 p.m. Sunday. Private car service to and from the airport is
included. Avion's introductory membership initiation fees, valid
through December, are $2,500 for individuals, $5,000 for families
