Travel Weekly's Las Vegas E-letter: Aug. 7, 2007

COUPLES planning to tie the knot by Oct. 31 can win a star-studded wedding in Madame Tussaud's Chapel of Dreams by entering the wax museum's "With These Stars I Thee Wed" contest. The winning couple will choose between likenesses of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley or Elizabeth Taylor and Tony Bennett to serve as celebrity "witnesses" to their nuptials. The ceremony includes music, flowers, photographs and a wedding video. Following the ceremony, the wedding party can take a tour of the museum's 100-plus lifelike wax celebrities. Contestants must enter by Aug. 12, and winners will be selected by random drawing on Aug. 13. For more information, call (702) 862-7805 or visit

PARENTS-TO-BE get special treatment with Four Seasons Las Vegas's new Babymoon Package. The baby-proofed hotel room will offer a view of the Strip. No loud casino noises will wake the little one: The hotel doesn't have a casino. THE FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE in downtown Las Vegas has enhanced its evening shows with the introduction of Real Action Stunt Performances, including the Russian Bar, cube balancing and Flying Silk. The Russian Bar is a thin, flexible bar held aloft on the shoulders of two gymnasts while a third performs on the bar. The cube is a large metal square that is balanced and spun, creating a variety of visual effects. And Flying Silk combines the movements of dance and gymnastics as the performer dangles from the Fremont Street Experience's 90-foot-high Viva Vision canopy. Real Action Stunt Performances can be seen nightly at 8:15 and 10:15. All shows are free. For more information, call (702) 678-5600 or visit
