2005: Tickets are on sale for
Cloudburst 2005, a New Year's Eve celebration that will take place
under the Cloud, the Fashion Show mall's 10-story-high
image-projection surface. The event, which starts at 8 p.m. on Dec.
31, is open to those age 21 and older and will include fashion
productions, live bands, dancers and a New Year's countdown for
every U.S. time zone. Ticket prices run $59.95 per person for Cloud
Lounge on the Plaza. Cloud Nine on the Terrace, priced at $99.95

MGM
GRAND: From Nov. 19 through 23,
the MGM Grand will host the World Gourmet Summit, which showcases
top chefs from around the world in various food and wine programs.
This marks the first time that the summit is being held in North
America. The summit will feature the International Wine Exhibition,
the World Gourmet Summit Food & Beverage Forum and four Master
Classes, as well as a separate full-day seminar for members of the

LAKE LAS VEGAS
RESORT is offering a new idea
for a meetings and events venue: a 3,952-square-foot floating stage
that can be towed to and anchored at different parts of the
320-acre lake and its 10 miles of shoreline, including MonteLago
Village, Reflection Bay Golf Club, the Ritz-Carlton and the Hyatt
Regency. The stage can be used for various types of events,

VILLAGE: Through Jan. 17, the
floating stage takes on another identity -- the Montelago Village
Ice Skating Rink, which charges $11 per hour for adults and $8 per
