HENDERSON'S Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa
and Casino is celebrating its fifth birthday with the results of a
$110 million expansion project -- the property's third such
construction plan since it opened in 2001. The new spaces, which
open Oct. 3, include a three-level, 1,200-space parking garage; a
170-seat race and sports book; a 22-table non-smoking poker room;
14,000 square feet of additional meeting and convention space; more
gaming space; and two restaurants, Tides Oyster Bar and Turf Grill.
To make way for additional casino space and a 500-seat
entertainment venue, both set to open in the spring, the former
poker room and race and sports book areas will close for
remodeling.
OVER ON
PARADISE ROAD in Las Vegas, Terrible's Hotel and Casino
took the wraps off its own expansion, which features a 500-space
parking garage and a new hotel tower that includes suites with
Jacuzzis. The project also included improvements to the casino,
with the installation of new slot and video poker machines. For
