IN AN EFFORT TO GROW travel agent business, Grand Oasis Viva Beach, which opened last month in Cancun, is offering agents 50% off its rack rate. Travel agent rates start at $59 per person per night, double, from April 1 to June 30, and at $52 from Aug. 15 to Dec. 20. A valid IATA or CLIA card must be presented upon check-in. The 165-room Grand Oasis Viva Beach is centrally located in Cancun's Hotel Zone. The resort features two swimming pools; a full-service spa and fitness center; seven restaurants; and six bars. THE MARQUIS LOS CABOS Beach, Golf, Spa and Casitas Resort launched an Elopement Package for couples who want to tie the knot in one of Mexico's Leading Hotels of the World. A three-night package starts at $4,440 per couple in a Suite Marquis and $4,920 in a Private Pool Casita. The package is available from June 15 to Dec. 15. Included in the package are such things as the services of a minister; a bridal bouquet; rental of a Mexican wedding dress and a tuxedo; and a musician. THE 18-ROOM HOTEL HACIENDA XCANATUN near Merida launched a daylong Eco-Getaway Beach Excursion package, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy one of the Yucatan's best beaches thanks to a partnership with the Hotel Eco Paraiso Xixim. The package begins with an hour-and-a-half drive to the Hotel Eco Paraiso, located nine miles north of the village of Celestun on the Gulf of Mexico. Guests will have access to beachside bungalows with private porches and hammocks, a freshwater pool, bikes, kayaks and nature trails. The cost is $94 for two people, including lunch. On the way back to the Hacienda Xcanatun, guests can opt for a boat excursion (cost is $45 per person) in Celestun's National Wildlife Refuge, home to nearly 200 species of birds, including thousands of pink flamingos.  Rates at the Hotel Hacienda Xcanatun range from $235 to $315 a night, including breakfast for two. ALASKA AIRLINES and Horizon Air launched a Spring Savings fare sale that includes several Mexican destinations. One-way fares for Mexico travel start at $119 between Los Angeles and La Paz or Loreto. Fares between Los Angeles and Guadalajara start at $129 one-way, and one-way fares between Los Angeles and Mexico City start at $149. Tickets must be purchased by April 8, and travel must be completed by June 25.
