CONTINENTAL
AIRLINES said it will begin daily
nonstop service from George Bush Airport in Houston to Queretaro,
effective March 17, pending Mexican government approval. Queretaro
will be Continental's 30th destination in Mexico. The airline
operates approximately 560 departures a week to Mexico. Flights
will depart Houston at 8:40 p.m. and arrive in Queretaro at 10:55
p.m. The return flight will depart at 7 a.m. and arrive in Houston
at 9:10 a.m. The flights will be operated by Continental Express
aboard 50-seat regional jets.
ALASKA
AIRLINES on Jan. 9 began offering
meals for purchase on several of its Mexico flights. The service,
offered in the main cabin, was launched on nonstop flights from
Seattle and California to Los Cabos, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta,
Manzanillo, Loreto and Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. Alaska said so far about
50% of customers are purchasing meals, which cost $5 and can be
purchased directly from Alaska's flight attendants.

The airline launched service from Chicago to Cancun, Puerto
Vallarta and Zihuatanejo; from Detroit to Puerto Vallarta and
