CELTIC TOURS, an Albany, N.Y.-based tour operator known for its packages to Ireland, broke into the South Pacific with a series of independent and escorted products to Australia and New Zealand. Though its name evokes its base destination of Ireland, the 33-year-old company has expanded in recent years with packages to Britain, Italy and Germany, France and Holland. The South Pacific expansion is its first foray beyond Europe. VICTORIA CRUISES is teaming with International Concepts & Travel, a part of the JAL Group also known as InConTra, to hold a series of educational seminars led by Chinese experts. The first three programs planned for 2006 fall under the grouping Approaches to Alternative Medicine. The seminars are targeted to medical and holistic professionals who want to gain an East-meets-West perspective on Oriental medicine, according to a company statement. The seminars will be held during Victoria Cruises Yangtze River cruise programs.
