Travel Weeklys Hawaii E-letter: April 18, 2005

HAWAIIAN AIRLINES has made British Airways an electronic ticketing partner, which alleviates check-in lines for passengers making a connection between the two airlines. Marking the first interline e-ticketing agreement between Hawaiian and an international carrier, it also marks the first time Hawaiian has partnered with a carrier that uses the Amadeus reservations system. This will now expand Hawaiians ability to provide real-time flight information to agencies and customers worldwide.

THE RITZ-CARLTON, KAPALUA launched an initiative in anticipation of a rising number of young guests that are expected to visit the property with their parents this year. The VIK (Very Important Kids) program invites children to participate in a scavenger hunt and trivia contest. Arts and crafts, nature excursions and island exploration also are some of the activities in the weeklong program, including nighttime sessions that allow mom and dad to dine alone.
