WAIKIKIS ILIKAI
HOTEL has been sold to Hawaii-based Anekona Development
for $200 million. Developer Brian Anderson has announced plans for
a $40 million upgrade to the property, which will see a portion of
the hotels inventory transformed into upscale hotel rooms and a
portion sold to individual investors (with much of that inventory
likely to be marketed as hotel rooms). Unconfirmed reports have
named Hard Rock International as the operator of the hotel.
STARWOOD HOTELS
& RESORTS has begun sales for the 179-unit Westin
Princeville Ocean Resort on Kauai, a timeshare property with two-
and three-bedroom units starting in the low $30,000s for a one-week
purchase. The first units are scheduled for occupancy in
2008.
HILTON HAWAII
SPAS has introduced spa packages targeting teenagers. The
programs, starting at $60, are available at the Hilton Waikoloa
Village on the Big Island and the Hilton Hawaiian Village in

THE KAUAI BEACH
HOTEL & RESORT, set to be rebranded as the Hilton
Kauai Beach Resort later this summer, is offering play on three of
Kauais golf courses with its Par 3 Kauai package. The package,
which requires a three-night minimum stay, is offered in all room
