Travel Weeklys Home-based Agent E-letter: April 11, 2005

NEST, the Network of Entrepreneurs Selling Travel, recently set sail from Fort Lauderdale for its first seminar at sea aboard Celebrity Cruises Millennium. The cruise, which sailed the eastern Caribbean, gave agents an opportunity to gain insight into the Celebrity product and experience the lines services first-hand, said Stuart Cohen, NESTs senior vice president. While at sea, NEST members attended a series of seminars educating them on the Celebrity product, including Celebrity Xpeditions.

CELEBRITY account manager Marie La Cava escorted the 37 NEST participants. With Internet access at sea, La Cava was able to present the new home-based agency portal, as well as Cruisingpower.com. Cohen also spent time demonstrating intheNEST.com and CruiseNEST, the cruise-booking engine for NEST members. The event got a thumbs-up from NEST agent Jeanette Dennis of Lowcountry Travel. I learned more than I ever have from a trade show. It was really nice to be able to talk to other agents and find out what they were doing. More information about NEST is online at www.jointhenest.com.
